An opportunity presented itself and I acted upon it.
Photographing a recent Mardi Gras Party for STG EVENTS.
I tried to capture some time that would be outstanding in you mind and also extremely unique.
These are just a few from the night. :)
ENJOY!

What do you see?
What do you feel?

Fear is a disease.

Together

"The wind carried me here.", said one leaf after being blown into a fence and stuck next to another leaf.
"I've been here since I can remember.", said the other leaf.
"What a strange place for a leaf to be.", the newly stuck leaf said jokingly.
Silence.
"I'm glad you're here. I've been waiting for someone like you."

PICTORIALISM II...

Success will not wait.
If I delay she will become betrothed to another
and lost to me forever.
This is the time.
This is the place.
I am the man.

I will act now.

Fear is only as deep as the mind allows.

Pictorialism.

The photographs below are my attempt at the photography movement known as Pictorialism. The definition of the movement is rather loose and many prominent Pictoralist photographers had entrirely different styles. These photographers aimed as a whole in trying defeat the stigma that a photograph was  simply a way of recording reality. The picoralist images were manipulated and composed in order to create or excite the viewer. One may call the aesthetic dreamy, soft, or even surreal. The movement lived it's peak during the late 1800's and into the 1900's. Some influential photographers of the movement were Julie Margeret Cameron, Alfred Stieglitz, George Davidson and even the great Ansel Adams dallied in pictorialism.

"For the pictorialist, a photograph, like a painting, drawing or engraving, was a way of projecting an emotional intent into the viewer's realm of imagination."
-Daum p 8, Wikipedia

Which emotions do I make you feel?

Egg

I dream, therefore I exist.
-August Strindberg

You may say

I'm a dreamer,
but I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will be as one.
-John Lennon

I think, therefore I am.

Pray

Irish Fisherman's Prayer-

Dear Lord be good to me.
The sea is so wide
And my boat is so small.

Feel good.
